I can definitely say that some school-learned words in Russia they don't fit in modern language. Like, let's say, we learned "to be engaged in research" - it does not exist, obsolete; and people laugh at it. Smile
And I bet everyone has seen the book "Happy English" - it is so much fun

I hope you would not mind to talk about that here Embarassed . I was thinking about the word "rack" - you've translated it as "a grid", but actually "rack" means "a line of ribs", like a side of ribs. I was thinking about the best equivalent in Russian, but couldn't find one unknown (I am not a butcher and hardly can find even t-bone Smile girl_haha ) probably other girls can find something better.
