Tatjana, 3 years ago I was in Karslruhe about 1 week before Christmas and saw the German Christmas Market for the first time. It was incredibly beautiful, I wish the Americans did that too. Although now that Thanksgiving has passed (yesterday) everyone will start decorating their houses for Christmas. The Americans decorate their houses and streets instead - it is charming in its own way. I will try and post a picture here once the season is in full swing!

Congratulations! Online friends are well and good, but you always need an actual physical friend at your current location to feel fully human, at least that's the way I feel.

This year it is not winter I'm still wearing shoes not boots and a light leather jacket. The weather is sometimes cool but not cold - about +3 - 5.

I hope this weather holds up in all of Russia in time for our trip in December. The one thing I am not looking forward to is the cold. BRRRRRR And we are going to be with our son - I am afraid he's going to look like a round ball the way we are going to dress him
