Hello ladies! May I join you conversation? I’m a new member on this site. I found it by accident, I don’t even remember what I was looking for. Living in such multicultural city like Toronto, I experimented with different ethnical cooking. By now I’ve forgotten most of my own Russian recipes. Now, I’m glad to lean it anew and feel inspired.
It’s a bit unexpected, to find an English language page on such site. It’s wonderful. I love English. I have studied it in school of course, like any other child in Russia. But without much success. I had to start from scratch when we immigrated to Canada almost 12 years ago. I was fortunate to find good school where I met THE teacher. He and his wife have been our friends ever since. After 6 months in school, I was out in “big, scary world”. My English was still limited. I began reading, trying to understand, not to translate to Russian. My Lord, I’ve read Danielle Steell… book after book… After a couple I had a feeling that I can write them myself by now! Everything was so predictable but it helped me to learn Smile I’m still learning…
A bit about me – I live in Toronto as you already learned. I work (don’t we all?). I went to college here, now I’m in Records management and archives. I live with my husband and son. We are “downtown” people, live downtown, work downtown, my son’s university is in downtown, too Smile
