Do you ask forgiveness from your children |
Sorry. Am I right to understand it this way: you ask your children to forgive you when you feel that you are wrong or if you feel ill at ease having done something and offended them even unintentionally?
In this case parents should say "Excuse me" Your chldren will treat you with greater respect because you'll show them that you treat them like adults and care about their feelings. My elder son is 35 and he is a general director of a big enterprise but sometimes I forget about it we fall out. Nothing serious really. Just mum being in a low mood. I'm the first to ring him and say, "Well, Dan, I am not right but you..." And we laugh like mad
But in case they are wrong or have done something I don't like I never make them appologize. It's up to them to decide what to do to patch up things.

Looking forward to hearing from you and learning what you think of the problem. By the way I'm a mum of two children. My daughter is 26.
