Sorry to say but I know that some teachers believe that because they work so hard giving a part of their soul to their pupils, because teaching is a hard and complicated occupation and because their wage is not very high they have deserved expensive gifts from parents (I am speaking about some teachers in Russia and I heard about it from them). And now there is a system of taking money from parents to thank teachers (even in kindergartens). I think it’s a rotten practice and system . Teachers and doctors deserve good wages but not gifts from parents and patients I believe .
