Hello NatalyS,

Yeah thanks to you and the link you have provided I joined this nice club Smile
I moved to UK this year. I was a busy working lady who cared only abut the career untill I met my prince charming. And got charmed. Before I was living in France for like 6 years. So I can tell more about the french culture and the french cuisine.
And UK is still new for me. I am discovering this country. It is very interesting to have long walks at the historical places and to see the different people.
In France where I lived people were quite arrogant. And I think I got used to it. Here it is not the case. I was shoked first months to see all the people I do not even know coming to me and talking to me. It used to scare me off and I was not brave enough to take the tube alone girl_haha
But frankly, I like english people. They are easygoing, always ready to help, even if I was wandering around hte busiest business center in London and asking those hurrying people for directions, they would take their time and kindly explain the way.
And another thing that was quite new to me was to see so many Indian and Pakistani people in here. Of course that is quite natural to see them in UK but hey I was used to see ppl from North Africa and other French speaking colonies.
The cuisine has not made such a big impression on me.
As I kept talking about the Fine French Cuisine, my husband bought me an english cookbook. So I will be trying those meals on. And sharing my experience here with you ladies.
But I have to admit that I miss a lot French culture. When my friend came to visit me we went to sightseeing and poped in the restaurants that is in a posch area but I tell the service is poor. As we had with what to compare ( we used to have a maître d'hôtel in nice restaurants) and were quite deceived with the quality of the service.
I am looking forward to discover other parts of this country. And if we travel I will be sharing pictures and emotions here.
For now I will put some pictures from Hampton Court park.
The weather was awsome and the park is like in a fairy so tidy and BEAUtiful!

Concerning the camera I think you are right. It is better to let him to buy his own toy. So he is sure to get the one he likes and he is looking for.
