Esmira, I like the thing with swimming in the rain, that's what we used to do when we were kids in Latvian lakes - as water is the warmest during the rain
NatalyS, the fountain with lights from the main square of your hometown is impressive. Thank you for sharing this beauty with us!
Мышунчик, nice to meet you too. I moved to Leeds (basically to the UK in general, umm) 3 months ago. So I am quite new to the city. Actually, we currently live exactly opposite the Royal Armories museum. I didn't realise it's so famous, but it's a very interesting place to visit - 5 floors with expositions and different kind of amusements for children and adults, including interactive games. It is worth visiting!
Regarding Abbey - there is Abbey House Museum, where you can experience the sights and sounds of life in Victorian Leeds in the year 1880.. I haven't been there yet, but surely will share impressions after the visit. Is it the one you meant?
And thanks for sharing views of wonderful fountains!
Julia-Julia, hello, we are "former" neigbours - I am from Latvia. Nice to meet you. I also enjoyed working in the team, consisting of people of different nationalities. When I was on my internship in Slovakia, my team consisted of Polish, 3 Slovaks, Italian, Greek, Portuguese, Swedish and Dutch colleagues. That was a real fun to work with such different people and to have parties with!
This weekend there going to be famous (I guess in the UK only?) Leeds West Indian festival. Some people are taking part in the parade, wearing spectacular costumes. Below there is a photo of last year festival's queen. I will try to make some photos and to share with you.
