Swine flu is a very popular topick to discuss here in the UK, I haven't seen anybody wearing masks yet, but I was very surprised to find Hand cleaning stations everywhere in the city centre. Hand sanitisers are the first thing you can see in the supermarket.
And by the way, I found an expression related to "raining cats and dogs", a man here used to say "it's a good weather for ducks", when it's raining

Hello! People in my city do wear masks. Not only those working in the supermarkets or something of the kind. Some, not many, can be seen in the streets.It has been three weeks since secondary school students stay at home.
Schools are supposed to resume work tomorrow but nobody knows how long they will work as far as the epidemy hasn't arrived at the climax yet.

Here, in Scotlans it seems nobody worried about fly, but Surgeries offer free vaccinations for eldely and pregnant, and I've heard they will offer vaccination for children under 5 too, I'm still waiting to hearing about it.

Lucky you are! Here in my city the desease is in full swing though I haven't seen any people sneezing and coughing or looking like having flue. Although epidemics ia alleged to be severe, more serious than ever because of two or even three viruses. My husband and I avoid visiting public places. It's easy for me as far as I don't have to go to work but my husband does. School students didn't go to school for three weeks. Now schools have resumed their work but some parents don't let their kids attend schools.

That's frightening... and it's not even the pick of epidemy, it used to be january and february....

The epidemics is supposed to be decreasing in my city. Though nobody knows for sure when it will come to end. Local authorities assure that the situation is under control and I di believe in spite of different rumours that are in the air. By the way people are asked not to go to a poplyclinics if they got ill but to call a doctor.
Every barber knows: whatever happens there will be a lot of people who won't miss a chance to demonstrate their being informed better than others. It's a kind of self-affirmation. So they do their best to make a mountain out of a molehill.
Though I hope that the devil is dead and not so many people will get infected with the virus any more. New Year is coming! We should feel fit and treat our nearest and dearest to all those delicious things we have learnt to cook and taught each other to cook!

May be tomorrow I'll go for a walk and make some pictures of our town in festive lights. We have very nice decorations in our shoping centre too, I'll try to find pictures to show!
Everybody belive that we gonna have white christmas this year! we have snow forecast for next week! It does not happen very often here...

Yes, but first we see the New Year in and the town is always illuminated for the festivity. In the streets one can see not only illuminated letter advertising, which can be seen all the year round, but marvellous fur trees beautifully decorated in many parts of the town. Moreover trees and buildings are dressed with colourful garlands and people gamish the houses they live in with wreaths and garlands and put New Year trees in the yards. The citizens do their best to make their native town beautiful. There are also many blue spruces all over the town. They are so beautiful that don't need any decoration at all. Sorry to say there's no snow so far But we hope for the best. I don't remember any New Year without snow.

It's but natural: you are so young and pretty and you are sure to have a lot of friends to go out with and entertain yourself. It's great! Though so many men, so many minds - this what a famous English proverb says. We decided to stay at home this time and see the New Year in with our daughter and her family. They are coming from Yekaterinsburg on December 26. My husband and I are looking forward to seeing all of them, presenting them with some lovely things and treating our dear people to something tasty. I'm going to cook their favourite dishes ad some new ones.

I've also chosen a lot of tasty dishes from here now I'm trying to cook a cake ''Pancho'' for my husband's birthday Think that I'll do my best.Can I keep it on the balcony for this night instead of refrigerator?

It depends on the weather. If it is as frosty as it is now, it'll be all right. Some years ago I used to have cakes baked. Home-made tarts are much tastier. A woman did it for those who like me had neither time nor desire to do it. Her husband who delivered the cakes told me that if I didn't need it then, it's possible to freeze the cake and defrost it when time came.I did so when it was necessary to keep it for some time.
