tatsik Thank you, darling
![]() Then we went to the Saviour Church that is just opposite the Museum. Girls, I'm sorry . Maybe in English the name of the church is not like the variant I've used. Correct me, please. I'm not a religeous one but the church impressed me very much and I felt like in the Paradise there. Let me introduce my sister to you. And this picture is for you, dear Splattie. |

Hello Everybody!
It has been quit a while I didn't write here. But somehow the website is not working properly. So I could not access it for a long time. Or my posts wouldn't get posted. I think it is a problem related to the webpage's maintenance. Anyway it is good to see you here. And to read some stories from the trips. NatalyS lovely pictures. You two look gorgeous. Splattie, good to see that you are keeping it up as well ![]() Concerning me, last month we were supposed to go to Scotland. But it didn't happen due to various reasons. We stayed at home for the New Year with my husband having had lots of parties in previous days. Besides my health conditions didn't let us go out a lot ( I got food poisoned and then a flu now recovering slowly). So happy New Year to all of you! May the most you desire, the least you receive! But I received the professional wedding pictures and the video on the CD. So now I am busy putting up a photo book together. It is a fun thing to do ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

NatalyS,
Thanks I am feeling a lot better today. I made an uzbek pilaf yesterday, that gave my body so much energy I guess. I am cughing a lot less today. Hopefully by tomorrow it will be gone. And I will be able to go to yoga. This inactive life kills me. I am now just stuck at home. Catching up with reading these days. Concerning sharing the wedding pictures, I have strong privacy principles. I do not put my photos on an open internet source, as in past my simple photos with my classmates were used not in a nice way. Since then I have learnt my lesson. Sorry about that. Tatsik, I think that whatever happens is God's will. So if it didn't happen this time there is a reason that is beyond our minds. So I am looking forward to go there in near future, when the days are warmer ![]() And thanks for the wishes of health. Wish you all the very best, and of course the health. |

Hello tatsik Natali,
It is nice to know that you have been enjoying the mountains and skiing. Of course skiing in Uzbekistan and in Switzerland is not the same. But still it is nice to be out and to enjoy the nature. My first lessons of skiing I took in Uzbekistan, but it was difficult. And in Switzerland I could do long distance enjoying it all the way. You have to try cross country skiing. I find it nicer than downhill skiing. Put some pictures in here. And happy belated nirthday to your husband. |

Hello Tatsik Natali,
I am from Tashkent. That is why I am quite envious. As I miss it. Majority of my relatives are in there too. Of course we are planning to go back to Uzbekistan eventually. I do not see us staying here. We need some experience before going back, so that we can bring some fresh ideas and new management system back to our country. But I hope that we won't stay long in UK, so that the expected child wouldn't mind to go back to Uzbekistan. That is one of our concerns too. How do you find it in Tashkent? Is it a lot different from Moscow. I have been there very briefly, just on business trips. I didn't get a chance to discover it a lot. All I saw was conference rooms and airports. Ah, this night I was dreaming of Tashkent. |

tatsik Dear girls, I've never been to Tashkent, but my relatives have been living there all their life and my late mum was born in the city. Then they moved to Beylorussia as my granny was a railway engineer and was sent to work there. After the war the family returned to Tashkent but mum didn't as she got married and stayed with my dad. Now late, sorry to say. Like Americans I often find geographical links with many people. It's not bad, is it? ![]() |

tatsik Natali,
I know everybody that is not from Uzbeistan is surprised to fin out that there is no McDonanalds. But it came to Uzb in early years of independance. And guess what it didn't survive. As in every corner you cna find tasteful pilafs, shashliks and samsas. That are a lot cheaper the MD food and of a better quality. Loads of uzbeks who tried it, didn't like it. They preferred our national meal. So this is the reason there is no MD. I agree that there are not a lot entartainement centers. But this is quite new for the country as well. And as it is still changing a lot. Those who existed get closed down due to different reasons. I think we should give it more time, so this business will eventually grow too. About the nature I agree. I love the surrounding mountains and the rivers. My bosses from World Bank were quite surprised to see Tashkent surrounded by mountains just like in Switzerland. I heard a lot abt the institute you studied, but never went there. I had some neighbour girls who studied there too. I myself studied Finance and Economy, so most of my time I would spend in the libraries of these institutes. I would love to meet you there. For the moment we are planning to go to Uzb after the birth of our child sometimes in early autumn. When it is not that hot, and the nature is ready to share its foods and beauty. Will you be there by that time? NatalyS, You have such a great family. Who put a big input in the development of the infrastructure! And yet it is good to know that you have a part of you that is related to our country ![]() I find it nice to have a network of friends from everywhere in the world. For example when we visit some other countries - it is a lot nicer to have a guide who is a friend, as they show smth particular, not only touristy staff. Talking about US, I have been only to New York and I would love to visit places like DC, Florida, Boston and St Francisko. The places that we have friends. They describe it very well. ![]() |

![]() I agree with you, there are some many tasty things ![]() I love shashlik and i cann't imagine our diner without pastil I prefer to go moutnains in earli spring When the trees are worn their green clothes The air is fresh and not cold, the sky is blue, the sun is bright... you set outside, drink green tee, eat fresh pastil with sour cream After breakfast..there is a walk around the local places on the horse, but I'm not a good horsewoman I 'll plan to be here this time, and it'll be wonderful to meet ![]()
NatalyS If you have a time and wish come to see out town ![]() I'll see you our place of interest and I'm sure you'll enjoy |

tatsik,
You made me almost cry, bringing back the memories how it is in mountains in spring. The trees are blooming, the fresh spring water coming from everywhere, the tulips... Ah! This is the reason why, everytime we have organized a workshop in Uzbekistan, I would made my best it to take place in spring. I will search through my external hard drive there are some photos of this wonderful period. NatalyS, let's go there in early autumn. And organize all together say7 meeting in Tashkent. It would be a lot of fun ![]() Splattie, It is good to hear from you. Thanks, I am feeling ok. The morning sickness is gone. And I am basicly sleeping now ![]() How about yourself? |
