JezThank you, darling. Romashki Is it "Promise" you've mentioned?
I've "Palomio". It's about tough family retations. The main character was sent to a ranch to spend four months there and to improve her psycological state. The holiday appeare dto have changed her life. Haven't read it yet as I'm reading "Coming out" now. Another one is "Toxic Bachelors". Intriguing headline, isn't it? The action takes place during summer holiday cruise in the Mediterranean. Three bachelors are about to have their single lives rocked to the core. Embarassed
There's one more I've already read - "Impossible", very nice. girl_in_love

I am finally back home from the long day out shopping. I finally bought "The Promise" from the WHSmith in stead of Borders as I was tired of 6 hours of walking. The book is pretty small. Actually it was the smallest one on the raw of Danielle Steel's books. So if you ladies would like, after reading it I will post it to you. So someone else will enjoy it Wink friends

Overal it was a nice day. I saw loads of staff. And so many tihngs for the early education as well. I know now where to register for the baby shower. I loved the early baby books from 0 months! It is amazing. We can now teach them from very first day. And I spent half a day sorting them. Unfurtunately, I couldn't buy as the stock was new, and not priced yet. But I will return soooon! girl_in_love

Splattie,
Borders, WHSmith and etc are the main book stores. There are other hundreds of them. But when I looked up on the internet in the morning the Borders was the closest ones.
I guess Eason is the big book shop as well?

I found out that it is better to buy online, as it was cheaper at least 2-3£ rather than in store. And there are a lot of books I would like to get and read for the moment.

Wow, you ladies are quick to action! I thought we were going to deliberate first, then see if anyone else has any proposals, etc. But I guess we are decided.
I'll go pick up "Promises" in our Barnes & Noble (but we also have a Borders).

As I told I do not mind reading another book.
I have started it already. So far I like it. I am reading it before going to bed, and I have nice dreams afterwards. No nightmares. As the author describes it all in such a beautiful perspective that one starts to see the world through the pink glasses again girl_pinkglassesf

Try to have a look online, you might get it couple of $ less. In amazon.uk they are delivering free is you spend more than 5£. And you can at least buy it online and pick it up at the closest shop, so no delivery fee.

Ayisha, will your friends arrange a baby shower for you? This is where they all get together and buy things your baby will need in the future. I know it was very helpful when my friends did something like that for me. I am only starting to buy clothes for my son now, but did not need to do so until this point as we had more than enough. And don't go too crazy on buying newborn clothes because they grow out of them in 2 weeks!

Ladies, congratulate me - I got promoted at work to a higher position yesterday! Yahoo! Yahoo! Yahoo!

I also have to apologize for not being here as often as I would like. Unfortunately, my workload is also a great deal heavier (and has been for the last several weeks), so I can only look in sporadically, and may not have time to reply to all the topics. I hope you chat a whole lot, on my behalf as well Wink

NatalyS,
I am sorry your daughter and granddaughter are leaving. But you all love each other, and this love doesn't know the distance. I miss my mom a lot as well, sometimes we dream of each other at the same night. And I think it is because of the love! give_heart girl_in_love

I do not know any of those Danielle Steel books. The Promise is the 1st one. Have you read them already?

I bought some baby's 1st year books. And they are so nice. They explain how to take care of oneself while getting ready for the baby's arrival. And than explain how to take care of the baby week by week. A real treasure for me now.

Thank you, dear! Only those who are far away from their nearest and dearest can understand how difficult it is to be apart. but children should carve a career and try to realize all the opportunities they have. girl_in_love
As for the books I've read only "Impossible" and now reading "Coming out". There are books by the author in our book shops but in Russian. The ones you see were bought in Yekaterinsburg. Thanks God , my daughter knows what to present her mum with. I liked "Impossible" very much, both the plot and the language. It's a bout complecated relations of a middle age woman - a very popular art dealer and a yuong artist that developed into true love. I can't say that I'm mad about love stories and the main reason why I began reading the novel was English. In the course of time I got interested in the plot as well. Very nice and tender. give_heart
Have you bought any music for you baby? There are many records for babies even new born. My drandchildren had been listening to classical music before they were born. It's special but great! girl_claping

Hello ladies,

Here I am again. I was off for couple of days as per my health state. I was having problems to sleep due to leg and arm cramps. Besides the added constipation didn't make the picture look nicer. So I had to stay away from my comp for a while. The doctors say that I only have to keep drinking more and this is it. Ah the joys of the pregnancy morning1 But still I am tankful to God that he gave us this gift. And feeling the little one to move around makes me happy girl_in_love

NatalyS, I wish I would be close to my mom and to my mom in law. As being here I lack their love and attention. Sometimes we do not need anything than that. They can heal us with their love. When I feel lone and sad I just want to be next to my mom, so that she gives me that reconforting hug and take a nap at her knees. This feels like in PARADISE! So much love and warmth. Now I just want noth my moms to stay healthy and live long lives so that we can share those special moments.

Olga,
welcome to our club. Of course we will accpet you in here with open heart and everything else we can offer friends

By the way, I had read Dating Game by Daniel Steel. Love the story. A lot of fun to read, the story has everything - drama, hope, romance, laugh. Hardly recommend it. Will try to find "Impossible" Honestly, I was looking for the good book to read, so, thank you, for point me in the right direction.

Dear Ayisha,

Good luck with your pregnancy! It's real happiness. Hope everything will be alright. Romashki

Моментик,

Thanks a lot for the nice wishes. It is very kind of you, and this kind of little things may light my day (yeah that simple Yahoo! ).

I was looking for some baby books to use from birth+ and instead ended up buying "Little women" by Louisa M.Alcott. I have heard so much about this book, so didn't even think twice before the purchase. It comes with the DVD, which is good to watch after having read the book. If it is decent enough I will send it to my sisters so they can read and watch the movie to enhance their knowledge of English.

Have a good day ladies! Romashki Romashki Romashki

Nevetheless I"ve finished reading "Coming out" and must say that it's worth your attention as far as all of us are family women and the book can teach how to cope with different situations each family can face one day. sharik

My dear Splattie presented me with them. I've already read three and now I'm reading "It must be love". A very interesting author. Both the plot and the language are superb! girl_claping Though she doesn't seem to involve a reader into different intrigues, just describing everyday life of ordinary people. That's why they are so interesting. I strongly advise you to read them. give_heart
