Dear girls, it's great to see you again I'm getting my holiday report ready. It'll be demonstrated in no time at all. This is one of the pictures taken in the town of Rodos. Do you like this man? I got surprised when I saw the man doodling as far as for me bagpipes have always been associated with Scotland and Wales. This old gentleman is really amusing! He is Papa Uso, 82. Very energetic and sociable. We like folklore events, and avail ourselves of every chance to enjoy mixing with native people, dancing and singing with them. It's a Greek Night in one of the taverns. Everything was great!

This lovely picture deals with my holiday: my granddaughter Mary is wearing the dress and the purse to match it - all bought in Faliraki, the place we spend two wonderful weeks.

Thank you, darling You are the first to notice my demonstration. As for your question.... Well, MrYouKnowWho enjoyed everything and meeting the man too. I think it was a part of the show. In general we had a great time swimming, walking, meeting people, travelling to other parts of the island and to other islands too.
My son's family are leaving for the Urals next Sunday, so I'll be deprived of all my grandchildren.
Yesterday we phoned Olga. Nataly took the receiver and asked, "Will you post me candies?" I sad, "I've already posted candies, dresses and a purse" and heard a roar of delight, "Purse!!!!!" She is simply mad about all those doodads.

Hello, ladies. I haven't visited this room for quite some time - but I have a day off from work today!!! That's very exciting news because I try not to take days off, but to collect them for one big vacation (we are hoping to go visit my husband's family in Saratov). However, I had to take a day to take care of my passport (and get a new one for my son - even babies that are 1 year old need a separate passport here!). Now that I am done, I will take care of some housework and come chat with you some more...

It was fantastic! I wish we travelled to the island of Rodos next year. Though the problem is: my husband and I agreed to go to a new country every year. Bulgaria was the first country I visited twice (first I travelled there alone and then with my husband). Both of us were disappointed. I don't think we'll advise anyone to have a rest there.

Оличка Thank you You see we've already been to Crete and Cyprus and enjoyed our holiday there very much. Generally speaking we like islands because there's much sea there and both my husband and I grew up in the Far East. More than that the Greeks are very good, kind and hospitable people. They seem to treat Russians like brothers. When in Greece we feel at home. It's very important to feel at ease having a rest. I like to chat with native people in shops, restaurants, etc. They are very sociable and it's not difficult to find a topic to discuss: we are different but seem to have much in common.
More than that I have always treated the country as the cradle of civilization. Now we are considering the island of Korfu as our destination next summer. By the way have you read books by Gerrald Darrel? He wrote about animals. Two of his books (if I am not mistaken) are about their life on the island.

I agree with you about Greeks!!! Nice people.It's a pity , but I haven't read any books written by Gerrald Darrel Maybe you may name some of them. I would be glad to read them!!! Thanks a lot!

If I am not mistaken, Corfu Island is considered to be one of the most magnificent island in Greece, because of its panoramic scenes and a lot of birds singing all around
