I don't think they are claiming anything at all if i am right to get you this way. Embarassed The article carries some new information dealing with human health. The article doesn't mean to impose anything on its readers. Just some facts we can take into consideration. It's up to us to consider it or not. This the way I get it.

Two good reasons why you should count colour.

1 Brightly coloured foods tend to be those (red peppers, carrots, and spinach, for example) which are low in calories, so they naturally help contreoj your weight. Following the colour balance it's an easy way to create a healthy diet without using kitchen scales or nutrution and calory charts.

2 A wide range of colours in your diet means that you'll naturally get a good range of vitamins and minerals, plant chemicals and disease protection. Researchers have found it's often the compounds that give vegetables and fruits their vivid colour - important for keeping arteries healthy, boosting immunity, and fighting disease. They may be the key to anti-aging and a long life, and can also help you to look better by protecting the collagen in your skin.

Dear girls,
I will be very glad if you accept me into your friendly company. Rose To tell the truth I hesitated to start at ESR as you have known each other for a long time and may be you don’t need somebody else. But you are so warm and friendly! girl_in_love
Natasha you asked about the most famous dishes here. I am afraid I will disappoint you. We visit our friends and relatives and every time we have a lot of tea and that is all. morning1 So I don’t know what dish is popular here. My husband cooks very well (it’s not only my opinion but our friends as well). His traditional dishes are: Sheppard’s Pie (it’s the same as Russian запеканка with meat), Irish Stew, Irish Soup and Chicken Massala (sorry for spelling). He fries Scottish salmon deliciously (we had a little party and our friends were delighted). nyam2
Sorry it looks like a mail. I need practice.

I saw the list of colourful fruit and vegetables....I agree, they are very good.
I have a glass of carrot juice every morning and I eat a lot of fruit and vege from the list ,but I don't like raising...it's too sweet.
I just want to say about Goji berries wich contain very high level of antioxigant compared to other fresh berries. It is occording to measure by ORAC( Oxigan Radical Absorbance Capacity)

I have never heard of this berry before - is it native to Australia?

Something that is more familiar to us (those from the former USSR) - pomegranates! I am surprised that the study didn't mention them either. They are incredibly good for our bodies Smile

Dear Natasha, Alina and Olga,Romashki
Thank you so much for your kind wishes and support! It works! It helped! girl_in_love Frankly speaking not only my husband but I am nervous every time when I have an appointment as often I have no notion about the place where I will interpret: instead its name in the document there is an abbreviation. What does it mean? Then it happens that during an interpreting session you learn such shocking details of somebody’s life that after it I doubt sometimes that I understand it right. But in spite of it I like my job very much.Wink
Natasha and what about your meeting? Did you recognize your friend from your childhood? Did you have a good time?Drinks or Beer

Alina your son is gorgeous! And the photos are wonderful! Especially I like the photo where he tries to taste his passport or find out if it’s authentic. It will be his first visit to Russia, won't it? And you? Were you in Russia long ago? Rose

Olga I have just seen your picture gallery. The photos of the ocean are beautiful! But it’s a pity that you didn’t comment where it was taken and who is in the photo. It's interesting. But may be I couldn't find the comments, sorry.good2

Natasha and what about your meeting?

It was great actually! We chatted for 5 hours and couldn't stop recollecting the place we used to live in and the people we studied or mixed with. Maybe she has a better memory as far as she remembers me and my younger sister she used to study with but neither my sister nor me remember Lena. You see we lived only for a year and a half there. Nevertheless we are remembered. It's great! Now Lena has Ph.D. in chemistry and teaches at our technical university. We appeared to have much in common not only memories but tastes, interests, views on life, etc... We agreed to meet again. Drinks or Beer (It was coffee with milk nd Lusy's apple pie). girl_claping

Your job sounds interesting - In fact, when I was still studying, I was considering becoming an interpreter... But, alas, life did not work out in such a way. Now I only interpret as a volunteer in our church on sundays and then translate some brochures (our latest have been anti-abortion brochures - such horrible things are described there!).
Thank you for your kind words about my son, Elena - it will indeed be his first time in Russia. We are going to visit my husband's parents. He has not seen them for about 7 years now, but I have been to visit them 3 years ago. It will be interesing being in Moscow, then in Saratov in the dead of winter (January -brrr).

NatalyS - I am glad your meeting went very well. It is very wonderful to reconnect with a former acquaintance. I have had a similar situation just this wednesday evening. A girl I studied with in high school somehow found my new number and called to chat. It was great fun - and we even scheduled a time to meet in November when she will be visiting my state Smile.

Good day, ladies - best of luck and God bless!

Natasha, dear, I have an impression that you and you guest enjoyed your meeting very much! It’s really wonderful! Sometimes life gives us such interesting and unexpected meetings. It’s like a gift. Rose And today I have received a gift from My Darling: it’s a new beautiful camera. Autumn has just shown its first signs here, and tomorrow (if there is no rain) I am going to take my new camera and later will show you a beautiful autumn here, if you don’t mind. give_heart

Jez
Alina, it was so pleasant to see your family! I join Natasha’s wishes that you won’t feel Russian frost as you and your family will be warmed by the hearts of your nearest and dearest.girl_in_love I’d like to say some words about my husband, the way he takes Russian and Siberian frost. He came to Russia in December of 2005 (at that time my future husband). I met him the airport as my plane had landed a half an hour before (We both came from London but by different flights, and I was with our delegation as an interpreter). So I met him, it was early morning and the temperature was -32C. And then he lived in Siberia all the winter (for 3 months), and that was the coldest winter in Siberia for the last 20 years. Sometimes the temperature was -45C. At first My Darling appeared in the streets without a hat or cap, and people looked at him surprisingly Embarassed ; then he thought that his English boots were good for Siberian winter sad … We bought everything for him. And in spite of the temperature -45C he loves Siberian winter very much! He is proud that he was in Siberia at that time. Now he likes to tell his friends in the club about it, but they don’t believe! He asked me to confirm it, I do, but the expression of doubt is still on their faces. So when next the possibility appears he has asked some of his friends to come to us for a visit the next time we spend the winter in Siberia. friends
Alina, you mentioned in your last message that you visited a church. What church was it?

Yes, indeed, the winters in Russia, and Siberia especially, are truly cold. I do not blame the Londoners for disbelieving you and your husband Smile

As for the church - we attend the Evangelical Baptist Church in Union, NJ. It is a church that has a Russian and American congregation, so whichever language the sermon is preached, it still has to be interpreted into the other language! Smile Smile Smile

Hi, girls, I've missed so many interesting topicks!!!!
Jez your son is so qute little fellow!!!! It' s so sad, that you should work all the time, and not to have alot of time to spend whith him! I adore every moment I spend whith my daughter now!
Splatie we going to selebrate my daughters second birthday in december.
Nataly this theory about food colours and health benefits is very interesting, I would be glad to get more information about it, especially because I love fruit, and dried fruit are first among them! Wink
And you asked me about black pudding, I buy it sometimes in supermarket or butcher shop, it's nice on grill, or just pan-fried whith eggs and backon, it calls here " Tradicional Scottish Breakfast" I can hardly eat a half of portion, it's sooooo big!
Elena nice to meet you! Romashki I can confirm, that many UK residents could be very surprised, then you tell them, that it was -30 in Latvia, because here, if the temperature does down, and starts snowing- the life simply fades. childrens do not go to school, bus service stops, and you can't use your own car, because nobody knows about all-season tyres, and sumer tyres just useless! I really miss snowy and cold winters!
